Syra Gulam is the founder of SyraSkins, a Singapore-based henna brand and academy. Since 2009, her love for henna has grown into a meaningful journey of sharing art, culture and heritage with others. Through her physical and online classes, she has had the joy of teaching students from around the world.

For Syra, henna is more than beautiful designs. It is a way to connect people, preserve traditions and inspire creativity across generations. She hopes to continue sharing her passion, empowering aspiring artists and keeping the beautiful art of henna alive for years to come.

Ima started mehndi in 2004 when she was 13 years old. She specialised in white henna and customized bridal mehndi worldwide.

Believe it or not, Ima once admitted, “I didn’t even like henna at first!” Fast forward 20+ years, and she’s now one of Indonesia’s most sought-after bridal henna artists, travelling the world for destination brides and celebrity weddings.

Known for her incredible speed, intricate portraits, miniature landmarks and romantic storytelling through henna, Ima turns every bride’s love story into a wearable masterpiece. And beyond her extraordinary talent? She’s one of the sweetest, most down-to-earth artists you’ll ever meet!

Hi, I’m Iqra, founder of Hatheli. Ive been passionate about henna since childhood, and growing up, I always found myself indulging in some form of creative activity. I eventually pursued a degree in design, which taught me how to refine and translate that creativity into henna, turning a childhood passion into my craft and career.

I’m incredibly excited to be part of the first ever Henna Beyond Borders Conference and become a part of something that brings the henna community together on such a meaningful platform.

When I was an aspiring artist, there weren’t many mentors or platforms to learn from, so being able to now share my knowledge and experiences with the next generation of artists makes this opportunity especially meaningful to me.

I truly thrive on teaching and sharing what I’ve learned, and I’m excited to connect with fellow artists, exchange ideas, and contribute to a community that has given me so much.
